Why fundraise with Cycle for Good

👧

You know who you're helping

There are 47 specific children in Mae La Oon camp who need school fees, food, and shelter every year. Your fundraiser goes directly to them — not to a faceless fund.

🚴

Any challenge counts

Cycle 30km in a day. Run an ultra marathon. Throw a party. There's no minimum distance, no approved list of activities. If you can raise money doing it, we'll support you.

🤝

We help you every step

We'll help you set up your fundraising page, share your story, and stay motivated. You don't have to figure it out alone — we've done this before.

How your challenge raises money

Choose your challenge

Pick anything — a bike ride, a run, a dinner party, a sponsored swim. Big or small, it counts.

2

We'll help you create a fundraising page and share your story with friends and family.

3

Do your thing

Complete your challenge and collect your donations. We'll cheer you on the whole way.

4

Change lives

Every euro raised goes to school fees, food, and shelter for 47 children in Thailand.

Questions about fundraising

Do I have to cycle? +

Not at all. 'Cycle for Good' started with cycling but we've had runners, party hosts, and swimmers too. Any challenge or event that raises money counts.

How much do I need to raise? +

There's no minimum. Every euro makes a difference. Our goal is €9,000 a year across all fundraisers combined — so even a small fundraiser is part of something bigger.

Where does the money go? +

100% of funds raised go to supporting 47 Burmese refugee children in Mae La Oon camp, Thailand. This covers school fees, food, and shelter.

Who are the 47 children? +

They are Burmese refugee children who fled the civil war in Myanmar without their parents and now live in Mae La Oon refugee camp in Thailand. Cycle for Good has been supporting them for years.

How do I set up my fundraising page? +

Get in touch via the form on our Get Involved page and we'll help you get started. We'll guide you through setting up your page and sharing your story.

Can I organise an event instead of a physical challenge? +

Yes. Parties, dinners, quiz nights — whatever brings people together and raises money works for us. The important thing is the intention behind it.
